PROOF OF LIFE: No doubt, it's plenty cold in NY, but that only gives people plenty of time to write e-mail and dream of warmer times, and other things.

The following diverges from ARC's usual method of merely responding to incoming mail. In this case it is Twin Lynn responding to a question that the Black Widow sent her after hearing that Lynn had just gotten back from business trip to Sweden.

Lynn's Breathless Reply:

Hej

I've been to Sweden a few times, and I can tell you, it's not entirely a myth. A lot of blonds, and a lot of tall people. There are a lot of good looking people there. A lot. I mean, yeah, there are plenty of people with "normal" looks but there are a disproportionate number of beautiful people. For instance, I went into a shop selling coffee and tea and the woman behind the counter was just absolutely stunning. Imagine "Swedish volley ball team, " and that would describe her to a T. And the guy who I had to meet with at Volvo could easily pass for a model for GQ. I'm sure my jaw was on the floor for the first day or so, but I eventually got over it.

It's rare to see an overweight person. No exaggeration, it's pretty rare. Everyone is svelte. The heaviest people I saw there would be considered merely "stocky" or as having a "beer gut" by American standards; I saw no one who could be considered obese.

But to some degree, it's changing...they are taking in a lot of Balkan and Turkish immigrants, and you even see a black or two (Ethiopians). I asked some locals about the health difference between US and Sweden, and they said there is some concern growing about the kids because they fear that some of the kids are becoming overweight, but I think I remember seeing only one chunky kid this past week.

I'll tell you what was really good...I took a KLM flight, and they had quite a few male stewards and I tell you, they were hunks. Really good looking and not swishy at all, not what you would picture a male steward to be.

Editor's Note: Women!

And somebody please reprimand Lynn for her use of the term 'swishy'. The absolute restriction against mentioning KEVIN HALEY remains in effect.
